Study skills for first-year students

Welcome to the university!

We want you to make the most of your interesting study programme. Thus; we have collected the finest advice on study skills in 12 short tutorials supplemented by three different reading tests by which you can determine your reading speed and two pamphlets. The tutorials and pamphlets are aimed at social science students enrolled in bachelor degree programmes in Denmark. What constitutes an efficient study skill may, of course, vary from discipline to discipline. However, the advice offered in the tutorials will be useful to most students.

The tutorials are a result of the cooperation between the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Copenhagen and the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Southern Denmark.

The tutorials are presented by former Head of Centre Thomas Harboe (University of Copenhagen and University of Southern Denmark) and Pedagogical Adviser Rikke von Müllen (University of Copenhagen), who, in cooperation with pedagogical advisers Julie Isager (University of Copenhagen and University of Southern Denmark) and Christina Juul Jensen (University of Copenhagen), also have written the manuscript.
