According to researchers from the Department of Sociology at the University of Copenhagen, these individuals make up a civilian emergency corps of volunteers. But they are not necessarily the same volunteers you know from traditional associations such as your local sports club.

This suggests that pregnancy mentally prepares women to process infant signals, according to a new study from the University of Copenhagen and the Psychiatric Centre Copenhagen.
