UCPH username and how to activate it

As a student at University of Copenhagen one of your main tools is the intranet KUnet. To gain access to KUnet you need to activate your UCPH Username. This personal username is the key to information on academic and administrative procedures during your stay at the university.

Activate your UCPH user name - students who have Danish CPR

You must use your NemID to log on to kunet.ku.dk the first time:

  • Go to kunet.ku.dk
  • Click 'First time you log in'
  • Click 'I've Danish CPR no. with valid NemID
  • Choose 'First time you log in? - Edit profile and click 'Log in'
  • Click 'OK'
  • Enter your NemID

Now your personal UCPH Username will appear and you will be asked to create a password.

  • Your username consists of three letters and three numbers (xyz123) and cannot be changed.

Update your user profile:

  • KU-brugernavn = UCPH username
  • Nyt password = New password
  • Gentag nyt password = Repeat new password
  • Personlig mobiltelefon = Mobile phone number
  • Ekstern e-mail: private email

After you have activated your UCPH username, we recommend that you click on "Update user profile" and add your private e-mail and/or mobile phone number.

  • Click Opdatér KU-Brugerprofil (save UCPH User profile) to save your settings and return to the KUnet login page.

Activate your UCPH user name - students who do not have Danish CPR

Once you have received your letter of admission in the Application Portal, you will receive an email on the email address that you have indicated on your application in the Application Portal containing information on how to activate your UCPH username. If you do not receive above-mentioned email within one to two weeks after having received your letter of admission, please contact the MSc Admissions Team on admissions@samf.ku.dk.

Follow the instructions in the email carefully.

Now your personal UCPH Username will appear and you will be asked to make a password.

After you have activated your UCPH username, we recommend that you click on "Update user profile" and add your private e-mail and/or mobile telephone number.

  • Click Opdatér KU-Brugerprofil (save UCPH User profile) to save your settings and return to the KUnet login page.

Forgot UCPH username, password or PIN-code
