Board of Studies for the MSc in Global Development

The Study Board covers the master's degree programme in Global Development.​

The Board of Studies' main task is to ensure that the programme structure and the design of teaching enable research-based learning of the highest standard. Hence, the Board of Studies' tasks includes evaluating teaching, preparing new curricula, and processing students’ applications regarding credit transfer and exemptions.6 meetings are held annually.

Members

The Board of Studies is composed of three academic staff members and three student members. The staff members are appointed for a period of three years, and the student members are appointed for a period of one year. At the constituent meeting, the Board of Studies elects a Chairperson amongst the academic staff and a Vice-chairperson amongst the student members.

Subcommittee for credit transfer and exemptions

The Study Board for the MSc in Social Data Science has delegated its decision-making authority related to the processing of exemptions and credit transfer to a subcommittee of the board. The committee processes applications for exemptions and credit transfers for which there is no precedent. The subcommittee consists of: Freja Leonora Grangaard Erlendsson (student representative), and John Rand (academic representative). The subcommittee is supported by the Study Administration Services at the UCPH Faculty of Social Sciences.
